Safety
Safety comes first at Sienik Projects, and is supported by our company OHS plan. Formulated in conjunction with various site committees and the requirements of our major clients, our safety plan includes:
- a company safety policy statement
- a site specific safety plan
- trade activity risk assessments
- safe work method statements
- safety instructions
- job specific safety plan audits
We carry out regular internal audits of our safety plan and review and update this as required.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Our QA/QC system has been utilised successfully on all of our major projects over many years, resulting in an exceptionally high, quality product with minimum defects.
Environment
Together with our clients, we have implemented a Project Specific Environment Management Plan (EMP), incorporating waste management, recycling and minimisation of energy and CO2 usage, along with minimisation of Construction Noise levels.
Training
Regular training is carried out by external organisations and our own site management.
Topics covered include:
- correct use and handling of tools
- correct safety procedures
- working at heights
- first aid
- scaffold erection
- plan reading
Our site operatives are also trained in the correct operation of minor plant equipment, including elevated work platforms (EWP).
Workers are assessed and issued with the competency certificates as applicable.
